2010 Benefit Golf Tournament

76 golfers all ready to hit the greens!

The Great River Homes, Inc. annual benefit golf tournament was held on Friday, June 18, 2010 at the Coffee Mill Golf Course in Wabasha, Minnesota.  In its nineteenth year, this event was a fundraiser for Great River Homes, Inc., a non-profit organization that provides support services to children and adults with developmental disabilities in Wabasha County.

Golf tournament activities included a nine-hole best shot foursome tournament, golf contests, fundraising raffles, a live auction and a delicious dinner provided by Huettl’s Meats and Catering. Prizes were awarded to first place, fifth place, tenth place and fifteenth place teams.

“The golf tournament was a great success in terms of increasing public awareness, raising funds, and having fun in the process.” said Michael Weinandt, Administrator of Great River Homes, Inc. “We had 76 golfers and a very generous response from area businesses, organizations, and individuals.”

Volunteers, board members and employees of Great River Homes, Inc. conducted the golf tournament with the help of Craig Prescher, Manager of the Coffee Mill Golf Course. Thanks to the efforts of everyone involved, the proceeds will directly benefit people receiving services from Great River Homes, Inc.
