The Board of Directors of Great River Homes, Inc. held its annual elections at its last board meeting on January 27, 2009 in Wabasha.

Kathy Geraghty and Lori Scanlan-Hanson of Wabasha and Gloria Keseley of Plainview were re-elected to serve three-year terms on the Board of Directors.

Donna Tesch of Plainview was elected to serve as President. Louise Haley of Wabasha was elected as Vice-President, and Kathy Geraghty of Wabasha was re-elected to serve as Secretary/Treasurer. Other board members are Paul Garry, Diane Franke and Ken Heise of Lake City and Dennis Bussian of Wabasha.

The governing body of Great River Homes, Inc. is the Board of Directors. The Board of Directors consists of nine members who serve as volunteers and represent diverse backgrounds. The board is the policy-making body of Great River Homes, Inc. The current board has a combined total of ninety-six years of board experience with Great River Homes, Inc.

Great River Homes, Inc. was incorporated as a non-profit organization in 1975. The mission of Great River Homes, Inc. is to continually improve the lives of people with developmental disabilities in Wabasha County by providing quality support services. The vision of Great River Homes, Inc. is for all people with developmental disabilities to have full and abundant lives.

"The Board of Directors understands their responsibilities as stewards of the organization and are committed to carrying out its mission."

Great River Homes, Inc. provides support services to 58 children and adults with developmental disabilities in Wabasha County. Services include Supported Living Services, Semi-Independent Living Services, In-Home Family Support Services, Personal Support Services, and Respite Care.
